The Awards
Once the show is up, an expert team of judges will choose their favourite photograph to be named “Best in Show”. This will be announced during the fourth week of the show and the winner will be awarded £1500. A second award, “The People’s Choice” will be decided from the votes received in the gallery during the show, and presented with a prize of photographic kit.

The 2010 Summer Show
In 2010, over 2,500 images were entered into the Summershow from more than 40 countries. The team at FOTO8, led by the editorial staff at 8 Magazine, shortlisted more than 100 individual works to hang in HOST, during July and August. A cash award of £1500 was presented to the single entry selected as “Best in Show” (Laura Pannack) by a panel of industry experts: Monica Allende of The Sunday Times Magazine, Stefanie Braun of the Photographer’s Gallery, photographer Mark Power, editor and lecturer Colin Jacobson and Harry Hardie, of HOST Gallery. In addition, visitors to the exhibition voted for their favourite, “The People’s Choice”, which was awarded to Jonathan Banks.
