Canon plans to launch different coloured versions of its new Canon EOS 1100D, the company has told PhotoRadar's sister publication PhotoPlus.The new Canon 1100D models will come in red, brown and silver, as well as the standard black.
A Canon spokesperson tells us the EOS 1100D red colour variation with EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS II will be available exclusively from Comet in early April 2011, priced at £499.00/€599.00 RRP incl. VAT.
The Canon EOS 1100D silver colour variation with EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS II will also be released in early April and available exclusively from Jessops priced at £499.00/€599.00 RRP incl. VAT.
The Canon 1100D brown colour variation with, again with the EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS II, will be sold exclusively at Harvey Norman's in Ireland from early April 2011, priced at £499.00/€599.00 RRP incl. VAT.
The standard black Canon 1100D body only price is £419, rising to £459 with the EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 III.
Announced last month along with the Canon EOS 600D, the Canon EOS 1100D is the Canon 1000D replacement, boasting 12.2 megapixels and 720p HD video recording.
