JVC has unveiled a new hybrid camera / camcorder capable of shooting 60 frames per second and recording Full HD video, the company has announced.
Originally unveiled as a concept at last months CES 2011 in Las Vegas, the JVC GX-PX1 can capture 10-megapixel still images or 1080p video at speeds up to 36MBps.
When reduced down to 5.7 megapixels, the JVC GX-PX1 is capable of shooting stills at 60 frames per second.
Other JVC GX-PX1 specs include a 3in, 230,000-dot touchscreen, 32GB of internal storage capacity and an ISO range from ISO 100 to ISO 6400.
The 10x optical zoom GX-PX1 also includes optical image stabilisation, and the GX-PX1 batter lets users shoot up to 320 still images before needing to be recharged.
The JVC GX-PX1 release date is slated for later this month.
